Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, and track the look-ahead schedules.

• Plan and execute pull planning meetings with subcontractors.

• Schedule general labor, subcontractors, and deliveries.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants for inspections at various project stages.

• Gather required documentation to satisfy inspection reports.

• Track and report progress to the Project Manager.

• Track and report site inventory (materials weekly and equipment daily).

• Use Autodesk Build to create daily work reports and gather site photos.

• Perform internal inspections of the work and fire seals before closing walls using Autodesk Build.

• Manage and maintain a list of deficiencies using Autodesk Build.

• Perform any verifications requested by the PM.

• Maintain and organize construction documents in the site trailer, including permits, plans, technical drawings, and reports.

• Communicate information and questions to the Project Coordinator to be transferred to professionals as RFIs.

• Send written notices to the PM and PC for issues and changes.

• Send written notices to subcontractors for cleaning and deficiencies.

• With the Superintendent, maintain a clean and organized site.

• Record site photos using Autodesk Build.

• Assist with updating drawings and specifications.

• Document field records for quality, production, labor, and materials.

• Assist with inventory and tracking timesheets, costs, and quantities.

• Prepare quantity takeoffs.

• Assist in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections.

• Conduct basic safety inspections and training, identify and correct safety hazards, and lead by example in safety practices and procedures.

• Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes, and billings, and workforce planning.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Capacity to read and understand construction plans and documents.

• Strong understanding of construction processes and scheduling.

• Effective communication skills in English and French, both written and oral.

• Ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

• Strong organization skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Proactive approach.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

• An engineering degree or technical diploma in Construction, Building, Civil, Architecture, or a related field.

• Design-build experience.

• Understanding of contract terms and financials related to a construction project.

• Experience with Autodesk Build, Maestro, Office suites, PlanSwift.

• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including supervisors and subtrade partners.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
